S.D. Vidya Mandir City, Panipat celebrated 77^th Independence day with unprecedented patriotic fervour. All the teachers and students gathered in the school premises.

The Programme Started at 9:00 am with the welcome of Hon’ble Chairman Shri Raghunandan S. Gupta and others dignitaries. Shri Anoop Garg, President of S.D. Society, Chairman Shri Raghunandan S. Gupta, Secretary Sh. Ishwar Garg, Vice chairman Sh Abhay Shingla and Auditor Sh. Krishan Aggarwal hoisted the flag with the singing of national anthem. The torch was lighted by the dignitaries to pay tribute to the freedom fighters.

 Shri Anoop Garg, President of  SD Education addressed the audience and said that our focus should also be on learning of Hindi and Sanskrit language.

 The School Principal, Ms. Shivani Kandola also delivered a speech on the importance of the day and highlighted the true meaning of freedom.

 A cultural programme was also held where students performed patriotic songs and dances. Audience were spell bound by the performance of the students.  Head boy Kartik and Prefect of X-D  Anmol also delivered a speech on Independence day.

 It was a wonderful show that filled the ambience with mirth, solemnity and feeling of patriotism.
