A dignified, well-organized, and inspiring Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony was held at S.D. Vidya Mandir City School, Panipat, to honour the outstanding academic achievers of Class X for the academic session 2024–25. The ceremony celebrated students’ hard work, discipline, perseverance, and remarkable academic performance. The school campus was filled with an atmosphere of pride, enthusiasm, and joy.
The Chief Guest Shri Mahipal Dhanda Ji, Hon’ble Education Minister, Haryana, and Shri Rakesh Boora Ji, District Education Officer, graced the event as the Distinguished Guest. Their esteemed presence added great significance and grandeur to the ceremony.
Several eminent members of the School Management Committee and education fraternity were also present, including Mr. Anoop Kumar (President,Shri S.D. Education Society), Mr. Naresh Goyal (Secretary), Mr. Pawan Garg (Chairman, S.D. International School), Mr. Abhay Shingla (Vice Chairman, School Management Committee), Mr. Shrikrishna Aggarwal (Auditor), and Mr. Ishwar Garg (Secretary). Their presence made the event even more inspiring and meaningful.
The Chief Guest and Distinguished Guest were accorded a warm and traditional welcome by the members of the Executive Committee through the presentation of a shawl and bouquet, symbolizing respect, warmth, and Indian hospitality.
Parents of the meritorious students were specially invited, and their enthusiastic participation further enhanced the dignity of the programme.
The Principal, Mrs Jaishri Garg, formally welcomed the guests and highlighted the academic accomplishments of the school. She emphasized that the institution remains committed to providing quality education while nurturing discipline, moral values, and a strong sense of responsibility among students. She proudly shared that 64 students scored above 90% in Class X during the 2024–25 session, reflecting the school’s robust academic framework, dedicated teaching faculty, and the consistent efforts of students. She also acknowledged the invaluable support of parents and encouraged students to remain focused and dedicated in their future endeavors.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Distinguished Guest, members of the management, and the Principal, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom.
This was followed by a soul-stirring Saraswati Vandana presented by the students, which filled the environment with spiritual and cultural grace and left a lasting impression on the audience.
During the award distribution ceremony, meritorious students were felicitated on stage. Student Gungun, who secured an outstanding 98.4%, was awarded a cash prize of ₹60,000. Students scoring 95% and above received ₹30,000, while those securing 90% and above were awarded ₹10,000, acknowledging their excellence and dedication.Additionally, the students who took fresh admission in Class XI at the school and had secured above 90% marks in their previous class were also encouraged with a cash award of ₹10,000.
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda Ji emphasized that hard work, discipline, and determination are the true keys to success. He elaborated on the New Education Policy, highlighting its focus on skill-based learning and practical education that empowers students to become self-reliant. He encouraged students to utilize their skills effectively and strive for excellence in every field.
District Education Officer Shri Rakesh Boora Ji appreciated the school’s disciplined environment and strong academic culture, stating that such felicitation ceremonies greatly boost students’ confidence and motivation. He also acknowledged the commendable efforts of teachers and parents.
Mr. Anoop Kumar , President of Shri S.D. Education Society, congratulated the students on their achievements and wished them a bright future. He motivated them to remain consistent, value time, set clear goals, and work tirelessly to achieve success. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to the holistic development of students.
At the conclusion of the programme, parents expressed immense pride and happiness in seeing their children honoured. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem, leaving behind cherished memories for all present.
