S.D. Vidya Mandir- City School celebrated clean and green Diwali with festive gusto. The day started with a special morning assembly where in speech was delivered on the significance of the festival and the relevance of eco-friendly celebrations. The school celebrated Diwali with religious zeal. Students were dressed up in different characters from Ramayana.  Singing of ‘Bhajan' was followed by dance performance. Various activities like Diya & Candle decoration and Rangoli Making Competition were held in the school premises. The function ended with a speech by the Principal who expressed her deep concern about the environment and advised the students to celebrate Green Diwali. She told about the adverse effects of fireworks and encouraged the students to use eco-friendly colours for making ‘rangoli’.
